Laboratory studies have shown that the conductivity and strengthening life of titanium coated platinum electrodes are superior to imported titanium plated platinum electrodes and titanium coated platinum electrodes.The application test in the ion water electrolysis device shows that the electrolysis effect is better than that of the iridium coating.The weak level electrolysis operation achieves the same effect as the mid-range electrolysis operation of the ruthenium iridium coating electrode,obtaining alkaline ion water with a pH of 9.5 or above,acidic ion water with an oxidation-reduction potential of-350mV or above and a pH of 3-4.At a water flow rate of 2L/min,electrolysis of 30t of water was carried out to produce standard alkaline and acidic ionized water from start to finish.

Titanium coated platinum electrodes have been widely used in electrolytic water production machines.

The successful research on titanium coated platinum electrode and its excellent performance,as well as its price being similar to ruthenium iridium coating,indicate its broad application prospects.

Reference[61]introduced that when using an electrolytic functional water machine to produce alkaline or acidic ionized water,charged colloids and organic substances such as bacteria are easily attached to the electrode surface in the water;At the same time,cations such as calcium and magnesium in water are prone to form sulfate and carbonate crystals under alkaline conditions in the cathode region,which can easily accumulate and scale over time.If left untreated,it can cause blockages in the water flow,and removing these sediments using reverse electrolysis(negative electrode reversal:original cathode is changed to anode,anode is changed to cathode)is one of the better methods.Therefore,the coating of the ion water electrode must have the characteristics of forward and reverse electrolysis without detachment of the coating.Titanium coated platinum electrodes have positive and negative electrolytic properties.The titanium coated platinum electrode they developed produces acidic water with a pH value of 5.11 and an ORP of 313mV,and alkaline water with a pH value of 9.75 and an ORP of-354mV,fully meeting the industry standards for ionized water.

Five types of water electrolysis devices

A water electrolysis machine can obtain purified water,alkaline ionized water,acidic ionized water,super acidic water,and super alkaline water through human operation.

Considering the higher performance requirements for electrode materials in the preparation of superacid water,researchers have further improved the P-type titanium coated platinum electrode and developed the P6 titanium coated platinum electrode.

The P6 titanium coated platinum electrode has been installed on a large scale in five types of water electrolysis devices.
